Successful cooperation with the leading IT Companies from all over the world and world famous software and electronics manufacturers is constantly provided at the faculty. Contracts about cooperation and profile preparation of graduates are signed, specialized laboratories, educational and training classes, the research laboratories which level does not concede to the European standards are equipped.

Intensive fundamental and applied scientific researches on many modern scientific areas are constantly conducted at the faculty for many years.

Close international relations with leading educational scientific institutions, experts in nanotechnologies, computer science, applied and computational mathematics, software developing, physics and microelectronics are adjusted. The international grants on scientific researches with Poland, Slovakia, Germany, India, Slovenia, South Korea and Russia are carried out.

Also faculty teachers actively work on introduction of the advanced modern technologies in educational activity and take part at such international grants, as Tempus and Erasmus Mundus.

It means, that student of any speciality of faculty, being trained on the basic speciality, can study at economics, management or law with the help of the dual educational plans technology. Thus training on an additional speciality does not hamper studying on the basic speciality as lectures and practical classes are not blocked, modular and semestrial sessions are differentiated in time.

As a result, upon dual plans training termination, graduates of ElIT faculty receive at once two diplomas about higher education – on the basic speciality, and on an additional speciality that gives the best opportunity to them to expand a circle of their future employment.

The faculty constantly gives to the students a possibility to take part in summer foreign practices in countries of Western Europe and the USA.

It is promoted by faculty and university cooperation under the international programs, such as Work@Travel, giving to student's youth a possibility to go abroad, to get acquainted with features of life in other countries, to work on the posts which are not demanding special professional education, having refunded the expenses on journey and residing. It gives the chance to youth not only to travel all over the world, but also to receive a unique language practice through communication with native speakers. The faculty supports desire of students to participate in such programs and helps greatly in questions of preterm session.

The faculty of Electronics and informational technologies, no doubt, is a scientific leader of a university and the unconditional leader on level of the scientific achievements international recognition.

According to a rating of Vernadsky National library Sumy State University occupies 24 place on size of an Girsh-index and 19 place by quantity of quoted scientific works among all Ukraine high schools. This result is completely (more than for 90 percent) provided with faculty of ElIT.
